    As to Alasdair Gray’s “messages”, well, one of his novels is dedicated to his wife, so it says “for Morag,” and then he added “and for Inga”. Cute?

  4. Yeah, very flattering. He seems to be really charming (isn’t there a long list of former girlfriends in “Lanark”? and Douglas Gifford seemed to know every single one of them).

    As to the limerick: it’s meta, so there’s no rest…
